The world’s best file sharing website names Kickass Torrents owner has been arrested by the Polish police on U.S.A charges of copyright  infringement and money laundering. This is a very bad news for the Kickass Torrents fans.

Kickass Torrent was founded in 2008 by Artem Vaulin.  Kickass torrent provide directory for torrent files and magnet links that is used to peer-to-peer file sharing using the Torrent and BitTorrent protocol. In 2014, Kickass torrent becomes the most visited website even beating the Pirate Bay.

Kickass Torrents Owner Arrested By Polish Police:

Kickass torrents was facing copyright infringement issues from the beginning of 2016. On 20 July 2016, U.S authorities announced the arrest of Kickass torrent’s owner.

The 30-years old Artem Vaulin, belongs to Ukraine was arrested today in Poland, upon the order of U.S. District Court. There was a criminal complaint registered in the U.S District Court in Chicago against the owner of Kickass Torrent.

U.S District Court of Chicago have said that the Owner of Kickass Torrent have committed to crimes. One is the commit criminal copyright infringement and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Upon this crime report the U.S District Court announced the arrest of Kickass Torrents’s owner.

Kickass Torrents Arressted

U.S Authorities not only announced the order of Arrest of Kickass Torrent’s owner. They also seizure the bank account associated with Kickass Torrents as well as also seizure the Kickass Torrents domain.

Assistant Attorney General Leslie R. Caldwell of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division have said that Kickass Torrents helped to distribute over $1 billion in pirated files.

“Vaulin is charged with running today’s most visited illegal file-sharing website, responsible for unlawfully distributing well over $1 billion of copyrighted materials.”
